This is an amazing opportunity to get some real-world research experience while learning about our native birds! BSPD is conducting a year-long avian monitoring project to see what species of birds utilize the newly restored prairie habitat at Brookview Reserve (2480 Periwinkle Dr.). Half-hour long surveys will be conducted every other Tuesday around sunrise throughout the year. Community members of all skill levels are encouraged to join our park naturalist on each survey date and community service hours can be obtained by participating.
